We initiate research response programs aimed at providing scientific data to help curb epidemics. We generate data on incidence, prevalence, spread, virus characteristics, potential drugs, vaccines, and population immunity levels. This data directly informs public health policies and help design proper counter measures.
Capacity Building and Training
Our projects are aimed at supporting local research and policy capacity building. Examples include enhancing infrastructure enhancement, equipment purchasing, personnel training, technology transfer, and developing plans and policies.
Biotechnology
Our biotechnology services span three major areas, health care, crop production and agriculture, industrial and environmental uses of microorganisms.
Surveillance
Our team of Epidemiologists and scientists, use a systematic multistep approach to field investigations. We address the operational aspects related to field work, while collaborating with public health officials, laboratory personnel, clinicians, and other stakeholders.
